Instruction-validation error in Rocket Chip allows attackers to execute a malformed AES key-schedule instruction without the required exception. The RocketCore.scala decoder accepts an aes64ks1i instruction whose rcon field exceeds 0xA instead of raising an illegal-instruction exception. Triggering requires code execution on a generated Rocket core with the scalar cryptography extension; no concrete security consequence has been demonstrated.
