Free product addition via unchecked gift identifier
Published Sep 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in WooCommerce Multiple Free Gift 1.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to add non-gift products to carts for free. The frontend gift-cart path trusts a client-supplied product identifier without verifying that the selected product is an eligible gift. No authentication is required; successful abuse alters cart contents and pricing by treating an arbitrary catalog item as a gift.
