CVE-2022-34572Public exploit

Telnet password disclosure via unrestricted tftp.txt access

Published Jul 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Access control failure in Wavlink WiFi-Repeater RPTA2-77W.M4300.01.GD.2017Sep19 allows remote authenticated users to obtain the Telnet password. The tftp.txt resource is served without adequate access restrictions and exposes the credential used by the device's Telnet service. Access requires adjacent-network reachability and low-privileged authentication; disclosure enables subsequent Telnet login attempts against the repeater.
