CVE-2022-34567Public exploit

Code execution via unvalidated plugin autoloading

Published Aug 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Untrusted plugin loading in UTHSCSA Mango 4.1 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted Java plugin. Mango automatically loads every Java plugin placed in the user-writable Roaming\Mango\Plugins directory without validating its origin or authenticity. An attacker must first place the plugin in that user's profile and wait for Mango to start; the code then runs with the Mango user's privileges.
