Authenticated command execution via unrestricted JSP upload
Published Jul 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in rawchen Sims 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through /uploadServlet. The servlet accepts a multipart JSP attachment, stores it beneath the web-accessible /sims/upload path, and leaves it executable by the application server. A valid JSESSIONID and access to System Management File Release are required; successful exploitation installs a web shell with server privileges.
