Browser script execution via unsanitized blob content
Published Jul 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Digital Watchdog DW MEGApix IP cameras A7.2.2_20211029 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The bia_oneshot.cgi handler places attacker-controlled blob parameter contents into a file without neutralizing HTML or script, making the injected payload persistent. An authenticated camera user must submit the crafted request, and a separate user must load the stored content for the script to run in that user's browser context.
