Unauthenticated host information disclosure via moduleInformation API
Published Jul 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Digital Watchdog DW Spectrum Server 4.2.0.32842 allows remote attackers to read host details via an API call. The unauthenticated /api/moduleInformation endpoint returns internal paths, IP addresses, operating-system version, and architecture. Network access to port 7001 is sufficient; published evidence demonstrates disclosure only, without data modification or service interruption.
