Authenticated code execution via custom-tag filter bypass
Published Jul 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in DedeCMS 5.7.95 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands through crafted custom tags. The custom-tag workflow stores attacker-controlled myvalues content, and plus/mytag_js.php directly includes the generated file after a double-less-than prefix bypasses its PHP-tag filter. Access to the administrative backend is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the web server process's privileges and can establish a reverse shell.
