Heap-based buffer overflow in Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.2.x through 9.3.x allows local users with high privileges to take over the system. Dell identifies the flaw only as a proprietary-code heap overflow and has not published the affected function, input path, or overwrite operation. Exploitation requires local high-privilege access and a compliance-mode cluster, where successful memory corruption permits system takeover.
