CVE-2022-34439Network attack vector

Unauthenticated node denial of service via resource exhaustion

Published Oct 21, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025

Resource exhaustion in Dell Technologies PowerScale OneFS 8.2.0.x through 9.4.0.x allows remote attackers to degrade a cluster node. Dell has not disclosed the triggering request or code path that allocates resources without limits, although the affected state includes the isi_lbfo_d service. Exposure requires an Ethernet backend cluster with a single, nonredundant backend; exploitation causes a node-level service interrupt and degraded performance.
