CVE-2022-34435Network attack vector

Firmware-lockdown bypass via improper RACADM input validation

Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025

Improper input validation in RACADM in Dell iDRAC9 6.00.02.00 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to bypass firmware lockdown. Dell identifies the locus as RACADM but has not published which input is accepted without validation or which validation check is missing. Exploitation requires high iDRAC privileges and enabled firmware lockdown, and it permits an otherwise-blocked firmware update.
