Database corruption via trusted internal connections
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 19, 2025
Improper access control in Dell Cloud Mobility for Dell Storage 1.3.0 and earlier allows local users with root access to alter database tables. The PostgreSQL configuration trusts internal connections without database authentication, permitting a root user in the vApp or container to modify or delete tables required by core functions. Exploitation requires root-level appliance or container access and can corrupt application state or interrupt normal Cloud Mobility operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
