Reflected XSS via unescaped EBICS version
Published Oct 10, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Reflected XSS in Crealogix EBICS 7.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in the server's origin via a crafted EBICS request. The ebics.aspx endpoint copies an untrusted Version attribute from an invalid EBICS request into an HTML error response without context-appropriate encoding. Exploitation generally requires user interaction, and practical data access or actions are limited to resources available in the affected browser origin.
