Improper certificate validation in Dell System Update 2.0.0 and earlier allows local users to steal credentials or interrupt service. Dell has not disclosed which data-parser certificate check accepts an untrusted certificate or how crafted input reaches it. High local privileges are required according to Dell's description, although Dell's published CVSS vector instead describes an unauthenticated network path.
