Unauthenticated resource exhaustion via missing request throttling
Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated May 14, 2025
Resource exhaustion in IKUS Software Rdiffweb before 2.5.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via repeated requests. The login, MFA, password-change, and API paths do not consistently count or throttle failed or sensitive requests, allowing repeated operations to consume resources. Network access to these endpoints is sufficient; triggering the behavior can degrade availability and facilitate repeated credential attempts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
