System takeover via alternate SSM console path
Published Sep 1, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Authentication bypass in Dell CloudLink 7.1.3 and earlier allows local users to access the system console through AWS Session Manager. On AWS deployments, the preinstalled SSM Agent exposes a direct CloudLink OS console path that does not enforce the normal CloudLink login. Exploitation requires a high-privilege AWS identity and an IAM instance profile that enables Session Manager; successful access grants control of the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
