Authenticated file disclosure via Device API traversal

Published Aug 10, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Path traversal in Dell Wyse Management Suite 3.7 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through the Device API. Dell identifies the Device API as the locus but does not disclose which path parameter lacks normalization or containment checks. A low-privileged account is required, and reads are limited to files accessible to the web application's operating-system identity.
