Browser script execution via unescaped author identifier
Published Jun 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in PMB 7.3.10 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via the id parameter of index.php. The lvl=author_see route reflects a crafted id value into the generated page without neutralizing embedded HTML and JavaScript. No authentication is required to submit the request, but a user must follow the crafted URL; successful execution occurs in the page's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
