Incorrect permissions in Lenovo IdeaPad Y700-14ISK BIOS allow local users with elevated privileges to disable Secure Boot through NVRAM. A manufacturing driver mistakenly left active accepts writes to the NVRAM variable that controls the Secure Boot setting. Local elevated privileges are required, and the demonstrated consequence is modification of the platform's boot-trust policy.
