Authenticated command execution via blind SSRF
Published Dec 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 27, 2024
Server-side request forgery in RWS WorldServer before 11.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted DTD URL. LoadDTD inserts the system_id parameter into an XML SYSTEM identifier and parses it, causing server-side requests to the loopback-only Apache Axis AdminService. Low-privileged application access is sufficient to deploy a JSP or Axis service and execute commands on the host.
