SQL injection via untrusted date arguments

SQL injection in Django 3.2 before 3.2.14 and 4.0 before 4.0.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL via crafted date-function arguments. The Trunc() and Extract() database functions interpolate untrusted kind or lookup_name values into generated SQL instead of restricting them to safe date-part choices. Exploitation requires an application endpoint that passes attacker-controlled input to these arguments; applications enforcing a known safe list are unaffected, while exposed database privileges determine whether data can be read, changed, or deleted.
