Code execution via embedded-font use-after-free
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Illustrator 2022 26.3.1 and earlier and 2021 25.4.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code. The embedded-font parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, producing a stale-object access. Exploitation requires the victim to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs in the current process and user context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
