Code execution via embedded font buffer overwrite
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe InCopy 17.2 and earlier or 16.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious file. The embedded-font parser trusts crafted font data and writes past the end of an allocated buffer while processing the file. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
