Use-after-free in the Linux kernel SGI GRU driver allows local users to crash the system or execute arbitrary code. gru_check_context_placement fails to tell its callers that gru_check_chiplet_assignment freed the thread state, so they dereference it afterward. Reachability requires low-privilege local access, an SGI UV system, and the SGI GRU driver; exploitation can panic the kernel or elevate privileges.
