Sensitive memory disclosure via stale Annotation object
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader 22.001.20142 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive memory via a malicious file. Annotation-object handling performs operations without first validating that the referenced object still exists. A victim must open the file; disclosed addresses can weaken ASLR, and ZDI reports that the flaw can support a chained code-execution attack.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
