CVE-2022-34224

Code execution via AcroForm setItems use-after-free

Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated May 27, 2026

Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted PDF content opened by the current user. The AcroForm setItems path performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists. Exploitation requires the current user to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and successful code runs with that process's privileges.
