Remote code execution via embedded-font use-after-free
Published Jul 15, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader 22.001.20142 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via malicious files. The embedded-font parser performs operations on an object without validating that the object still exists, enabling use-after-free code execution in the Reader process. Exploitation requires a victim to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and execution runs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
