CVE-2022-34199Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via plaintext job configuration storage

Published Jun 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Plaintext password storage in Jenkins Project Convertigo Mobile Platform Plugin 1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read credentials. The plugin writes configured passwords unencrypted into each job's config.xml file on the Jenkins controller. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the file through Jenkins, while controller file-system access exposes the same stored secrets locally.
