Stored XSS via unescaped artifact parameter metadata
Published Jun 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Repository Connector Plugin 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in a viewer's browser. Maven Repository Artifact parameter views render the parameter name and description without escaping attacker-controlled markup. Item/Configure permission is required, and exploitation also requires another page to list the parameter without Jenkins core's post-2.44 hardening.
