CVE-2022-3417Network attack vector

Object injection via imported settings deserialization

Published Jan 9, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

PHP object injection in BraveNewCode WPtouch before 4.3.45 allows remote authenticated users to invoke available gadget chains. The imported-settings handler unserializes attacker-supplied file content without restricting which PHP objects can be created. An administrator must import the crafted settings file, and exploitation requires a suitable gadget chain already present on the WordPress site.
