Authenticated tracker data access via unchecked device ID
Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Authorization bypass in all versions of MiCODUS MV720 allows remote authenticated users to read other trackers' data via a device ID. The ProductUpdate.aspx handler uses the deviceid query parameter to select database records without confirming that the logged-in account owns the requested tracker. Any valid account can retrieve location and associated device records, including license-plate, SIM-card, and mobile-number data.
