Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted plugin upload
Published Jul 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in DataEase 1.11.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading a crafted plugin. The /api/plugin/upload endpoint accepts plugin operations without an authorization check, and DataEase loads attacker-supplied plugin code when a related data source is created. No prior privileges or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation executes code with the DataEase server process privileges.
