Script execution via unencoded width parameter
Published Jul 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Portal do Software Publico Brasileiro i3geo 7.0.5 allows remote attackers to execute script via svg2img.php. The endpoint reflects the w query parameter into its HTML response without output encoding, so a closing script tag introduces attacker-controlled markup and JavaScript. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted URL, enabling script execution in the i3geo origin with browser-level access to displayed data and actions.
