Code execution backdoor in the Scoptrial 0.0.5 Python package allows attackers to access secrets and elevate privileges via the request package. The public records do not identify the module or function that invokes the backdoor or explain how the request package executes untrusted code. Exposure requires installing and running version 0.0.5, after which the backdoor can disclose sensitive user information and digital-currency keys or raise privileges.
