Unauthenticated credential disclosure via exposed syspasswd variable
Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Access control failure in Wavlink WN530HG4 firmware M30HG4.V5030.191116 allows remote attackers to read usernames and passwords. The set_safety.shtml management page renders the syspasswd variable in unauthenticated page source instead of withholding credentials. Network access to the device's web interface is sufficient, and the reported consequence is credential disclosure rather than configuration changes or service interruption.
