CVE-2022-3402Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped logged request URLs

Published Oct 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Stored XSS in Matt Gibbs Log HTTP Requests 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through logged request URLs. The URL field in the request-log table renders stored request URLs without sufficient output escaping, allowing attacker-controlled markup to enter the administrative page. Exploitation requires a crafted URL to be logged and a user to view the affected log page, exposing that user's browser session to arbitrary script execution.
