Authenticated file disclosure via document path traversal
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in PDS Vista 7 before 7.1.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to read web application files via the document parameter. The /application/documents/display.aspx handler uses the document value to select files without confining requests to the intended location, returning requested content in the response. Low-privileged access is sufficient, but reads are confined to the web application root and its subdirectories.
