Arbitrary file write via unsanitized attachment paths
Published Jun 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Devolutions Remote Desktop Manager 2022.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write files via crafted attachments. Special path characters are not sanitized when the attachment destination path is constructed, letting the supplied path escape its intended directory. Low-privilege access is required to create the attachment, and a user must open it; exploitation creates or overwrites files at chosen paths.
