CVE-2022-33971Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Malicious program execution via active debug code

Published Jul 4, 2022 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Active debug code in OMRON NX7 1.28 and earlier and NX1 and NJ 1.48 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute malicious programs. OMRON has not disclosed the debug interface or operation that accepts the malicious program, but identifies communication with specific internal software as the prerequisite. Exploitation requires analysis of that communication and user interaction; successful attacks can execute controller code or place the controller out of service.
