CVE-2022-33948

Adjacent command execution via malicious DHCP data

Published Jul 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

OS command injection in KDDI HOME SPOT CUBE2 V102 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands via malicious WAN-side DHCP data. The router's DHCP-processing path fails to neutralize attacker-controlled data before using it in an operating-system command; public sources do not name the affected function. Exploitation requires control of a DHCP server reachable from the WAN port and grants command execution on the router.
