GPS activity disclosure via unchecked POST device identifier
Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Authorization bypass in all MiCODUS MV720 versions allows remote authenticated users to read GPS activity reports for arbitrary devices. The StopDetail.aspx handler ignores the deviceid query value and uses the hidDeviceId POST value to fetch an Excel report without checking account ownership. An authenticated web session and a chosen device identifier expose GPS-referenced stop locations and durations for devices outside the account.
