ADL communication stoppage via malformed packets
Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Resource exhaustion in Yokogawa CENTUM VP controller FCS revisions allows remote attackers to stop ADL communication with malformed packets. The FCS packet-processing path consumes controller resources when it handles malformed ADL traffic; Yokogawa has not disclosed the exact parsing defect. Exploitation requires access to the adjacent control network and interrupts ADL communications, without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
