Process memory corruption via crafted Dwg2Spd file
Published Oct 3, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Memory corruption in Autodesk AutoCAD, Advance Steel and Civil 3D 2022 and 2023 allows attackers to corrupt process memory via a crafted Dwg2Spd file. The Autodesk DWG application's Dwg2Spd parser performs a write access outside valid memory boundaries when it processes malformed file content. Opening the file requires user interaction; the resulting corruption occurs in the current process and contributes to code execution only when chained with another vulnerability.
