Incorrect default permissions in Fortinet FortiClient Windows and FortiConverter allow local users to tamper with installation files. When either product is installed in an insecure folder, its default access controls leave installation files writable to a low-privileged local account. Successful exploitation requires local authentication and the insecure installation path, and file replacement can compromise the installed application and its data.
