Admin-level gadget execution via unsafe file deserialization
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 6, 2025
PHP object injection in Beaver Builder Customizer Export/Import before 0.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to trigger gadget-chain behavior. The Customizer import path passes attacker-controlled uploaded file content to PHP deserialization, permitting serialized objects to be instantiated. Administrator privileges and a suitable gadget chain on the blog are required; the invoked gadget determines the resulting impact.
