CVE-2022-33751Network attack vector

Unauthenticated stack-memory disclosure via uninitialized response buffer

Published Jun 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Memory disclosure in the Automic agent in Broadcom CA Automic Workload Automation 12.2 and 12.3 allows remote attackers to read process memory. The agent sends a 4 KB response buffer without initializing its stack-backed payload, exposing prior stack contents to crafted protocol messages. Network access to the agent listener on TCP port 2300 is sufficient without authentication; exposed data includes memory addresses and can include keys or passwords.
