Denial of service in Xen 4.0 and later allows guest OS users to hang a host CPU through timed transitive grant-copy operations. The grant-copy error path nests locks in opposite orders when two guests create reciprocal transitive grants, producing a lock-order inversion. Exploitation requires multiple cooperating guests with Grant Table version 2 transitive grants and can deny service to the entire host.
