A denial-of-service flaw in Xen 4.13.0 through 4.16.1 allows local users in collaborating guest VMs to interrupt the host via P2M pool freeing. The hypervisor frees a potentially large P2M pool without intermediate preemption checks, allowing the operation to hold a CPU for an excessive interval. Exploitation requires cooperating guests and local guest access; the reported consequence is a temporary host-wide service interruption.
