Information disclosure in Linux Xen network PV frontends allows local users controlling an untrusted backend to read guest kernel memory. The frontend shares memory regions with the backend without first zeroing unused contents, exposing residual data that was not intended for transfer. Exploitation requires a Linux guest using a Xen PV network device with a potentially malicious backend; the bounded consequence is disclosure of guest data.
