CVE-2022-33713

Sensitive information disclosure via implicit intent hijacking

Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Implicit intent hijacking in Samsung Cloud before 5.2.0 allows attackers to read sensitive information through an intercepted intent. Samsung Cloud sends sensitive data with an implicit rather than explicit Android intent, allowing another app with a matching intent filter to receive it. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled code on the Galaxy device, and the disclosed consequence is limited to reading data carried by that intent.
